How to Access Our Services for Your Job


Grab a quote!

  1. Send us an email or inquiry with the date/time of your event! We’ll send you an Event Information Form - This provides us with as much detail as possible about your event/job so that we can adequately quote you a cost and prepare our resources for you.

  2. Receive a Quote - You will receive an official quote within 2 business days - this is subject to change based on the finer event details and any changes you might want

  3. Confirm Your Job/Event - Once you’ve confirmed that we’ve adequately assessed the details of your event, we prepare our resources behind the scenes and begin working to prepare for the day of!

    Once you have confirmed your booking with us, we require 48 hours notice minimum for any cancellations or changes to the event.


What to expect at your job/event

If you have booked our services for a live event, we will use the information that you have provided us in the Event Information Form to prepare our team and materials that you need. When possible, we may request a walk through of the event location prior to the date to assess AV details such as outlets, location WIFI, parking, etc.

Our transcriptionists will typically require 30 mins (sometimes more if there is extensive A/V required) to set up their technology and station - this is in order to be able to provide the continuous, uninterrupted service for the entire event.

  • Our transcriptionists typically operate on separate laptop computers to be able to monitor for precision and accuracy

  • Other hardware includes projectors, display screens, wide screen led displays, personal captioning screens, etc. that we also may arrive with for set up

 

Feel free to voice any requests or concerns

Typically the transcriptionists will stay at their station in order to focus and keep their data organized, but feel free to approach them for any concerns or questions you have:

  • This is especially important if there is issues with the display or technology behind the live closed-captioning display such as visibility or placement, or if you’d like to implement any changes to the captioning (e.g. text size, color, style, etc.)

  • Transcriptionists do not have any information regarding the job/event contract or invoice, those inquiries must be sent in to the Manager Team directly

 

Transcription will conclude at the end of your event

If there are no other services required, your transcriptionists will confirm that no further transcription is needed, dismantle their station, and pack up their equipment. If no further materials are requested (such as a final transcript), the transcriptionists will provide you with a final invoice document for you to review.

If further materials are required, such as a final event transcription, expect to receive this in 1-2 business days, accompanied with a final invoice.

 

The final invoice can be paid by cheque, e-transfer, or paypal formats.

Cheques can be made out to Natalie Scofield-Singh, c/o The Right Type Transcription Company and sent to the business address indicated at the bottom of your invoice.

If you require audio/visual-to -text transcription services only

Booking our services follows the same process!

  • Fill in a Quote Request, with as much information as possible

  • Receive an unofficial Quote, for you to review and ensure it encompasses all the services/products that you require

  • Confirm your Booking by verifying the details of the quote are accurate and follow the services you require

  • Transcriptionists will be assigned to your service, after which you will receive a preview of your finished document - at this time you can request any changes or corrections

  • You Will Receive a Final Invoice, which must be paid in full before receiving your formally finished product, distribution-ready and finalized

You can choose to receive your final document as printed material or electronic product. For formal publishing options, such as covering or binding, please indicate this on your quote request.
